The Ambassador of Scarsdale has announced the appointment of Geri Brooks as Vice President of Integrated Health Care Systems. In making the announcement, Jean Dunphy, President, said, Geri’s role will enable us to coalesce the team around quality and continuous process improvement initiatives that will build on our current success. Brooks will also collaborate with other organizations in order to most effectively meet community needs.
Dunphy added, Geri is well regarded for her enhanced problem solving techniques through education and support, and will focus on health care challenges in the Assisted Living arena and develop strategies to meet the changing landscape. The Ambassador Scarsdale is privileged to have her on board.
Brooks is a New York State Registered Nurse with over twenty-five years of experience in the health care field, receiving her Masters in Nursing from Pace University. Geri was formerly Director of Senior Services at White Plains Hospital, where she was employed for over 30 years. Brooks has dedicated her professional career to advocating and caring for seniors and has an extensive knowledge of the aging process. She was instrumental in implementing Hospice Palliative Care, and Dementia Education Training in nursing home and home care settings. She is a Board member of The Alzheimer’s Association of Hudson Valley, and Visiting Nurse of Westchester, Brooks is also a professional Advisory member of Hospice of Westchester and Chair of the Caregivers Collaborative, and Board Member / Secretary of the Public Private Partnership.
