Coping with Stress in the Era of COVID-19 - The Ambassador of Scarsdale

Members of the Central Westchester Geriatric Committee were honored to sit in on a virtual presentation and chat with Dr. Jennifer Bress, a researcher and an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine, on MENTAL HEALTH & COVID IMPACT.
Jennifer Bress, PhD is a New York State licensed psychologist and an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Bress specializes in research-supported therapeutic techniques to treat mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. She focuses primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and draws on related therapeutic approaches including behavioral activation, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. Bress aims to provide a supportive environment in which individuals can learn tailored, concrete strategies to improve their lives.
