Dear Residents & Families,
We have been advised by NYS Department of Health that certain heretofore mandated requirements are being lifted. Most notably the removal of masks and social distancing for residents, employees, and visitors. Visitors will now be able to resume visiting and use of the common areas. However, we will continue to screen visitors on arrival.
All congregate living facilities will now base their decisions regarding Infection Control requirements on Covid 19 community levels https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html If the level is high for our county then we are required to pivot back to mask wearing and other prevention strategies. Currently the level is low for our county, therefore we will be implementing the new guidance at The Ambassador Scarsdale.
However, we are encouraging families and visitors to consider the vulnerability of our residents and one’s own personal risk factors and to consider keeping your masks on while visiting. It is not a requirement it is our recommendation. While respecting that the rules have changed and we are required to abide by them, as an organization we continue to strongly encourage all to wear masks and continued hand hygiene when visiting. We would also ask visitors to maintain social distancing from other residents (not your family) if you are not wearing a mask.
Our Dining room is not open to visitors at this point.
Thank you again for all your support and encouragement during these past 3+ years of the pandemic. Our staff & residents were at their best in the worst of times, and we have learned much about our ability to survive well under extreme pressure.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to me (jdunphy@theambassadorscardale.com) or Geri Brooks at gbrooks@theambassadorscarsdale.com
Yours Sincerely,
Jean Dunphy & Crew
