When Friends Become Neighbors - The Ambassador of Scarsdale

We don’t meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our paths. That rings true when it comes to our residents, Irene Groban and Jean Pollak. They first met over 50 years ago at the home of a mutual friend. Chatting they discovered they were graduates of Wellesley College and on the board of the Wellesley Club of Westchester, a group that met monthly. Their paths also intertwined through the League of Women Voters. The black & white photo shared here shows Jean standing at the podium with Irene seated to her right. Fast forward 50 years these ladies are now neighbors at The Ambassador of Scarsdale and still passionate about politics. Together, they and others, enjoy lively daily discussions at their ‘round table’ in the dining room. They also enjoy Shakespeare and Bridge. We are lucky to have these two kind and intelligent women sharing their lives with us here at The Ambassador.
